Reiki Healing
What is Reiki?
Reiki is all about energy healing and energy balance to promote wellness. Most people have heard of Tai Chi, which is about moving the body in synchronicity with the Chi, or universal life force energy that surrounds and flows through all of us. The Chinese Chi is translated into Japanese as Ki, and Rei means sacred. Thus, Reiki means ‘sacred energy’ in Japanese.
The Reiki practitioner channels the universal life force energy to bring about an intensely deep relaxation, while balancing the body’s energy centers (chakras) and energy field (aura). The practice of balancing chakras goes back thousands of years to ancient Vedic times in India.
A Reiki treatment is a safe and effective way to find deep and restorative relaxation, thus reducing stress. Energy balance helps the body to heal itself on all four levels -- physically, emotionally, mentally, and ethereally, strengthening the immune system and assisting the body in regenerating itself.
During a Reiki session, the client receives the channeled universal life force energy through the Reiki practitioner, either in person or by distance. A Reiki treatment is effective no matter what the distance is, whether the client experiences the session in person or whether he or she is thousands of miles away. It makes no difference at all. This healing energy, which assists in balancing the body’s energy centers and fields, is a natural way to increase and maintain health and well-being.
Reiki is always beneficial and can never cause harm. As a matter of fact, Reiki is being used by more and more hospitals and medical centers in harmony with conventional medical treatments. For people with medical or mental health conditions.
(Please note that reiki is not intended as a substitute, but as a complementary treatment, to a licensed physician, psychologist, or psychiatrist's care.)
