Time Out

What can we do to shift the energy when we are feeling down in the dumps? I have noticed that when I'm feeling out of sorts, if I stay in the same place, my emotions tend to spiral downward.

One thing that helps me is to go someplace that I like. It doesn't have to be far away, maybe just a few minutes away. I feel like switching my environment is a great way to get me out of my slump. I might go to the coast and soak in the sea salt air while watching the waves, or I sometimes go to a peaceful place where there are kind and like-minded people.

The other day, I went to the retreat center where we'll be hosting our Jungle Reiki Retreat this summer. I drove 30 minutes along gorgeous Puna jungle roads, and upon arrival, I was instantly immersed in a high-vibe, healing environment.

The Kirpal Meditation and Eco Center (KMEC) is an oasis of peace and tranquility. People there are so friendly, kind, and helpful. I just love spending time at the retreat center.

I can't wait for the summer, when we'll be spending six days there!
