As I was meditating this morning, I saw an image of a strawberry. Upon closer inspection, I started noticing everything about it using most of my senses.
I saw that the strawberry was beautiful, big, and a deep red. I noticed the little green/brown seeds on its shiny skin, and the bright green leaves and stem.
I smelled the delicious scent of ripe strawberry. How intoxicating!
As I bit into the strawberry, I first felt the smooth/roughness of its skin on the outside and the refreshing plumpness of the inside of the fruit. I could actually taste the tart, sweet flavor on my tongue.
This is an example of fully experiencing something with as many of your senses as possible. It's grounding and centering and helps you to be in the present moment.
