In my meditation, I saw an image of someone dancing in a field of flowers, and I heard the word, 'Freedom'. I understand this message to mean that we feel liberated and light when we feel free.
Think about it. When was the last time you felt free from constraints and worry? What is it that is stopping you from feeling free?
We often feel as if freedom from our burdens in just around the corner, maybe in a new relationship, a new job, a new location, more education and training, or when we have lost 10 pounds or gotten into shape. Whatever the reason that we keep postponing our freedom, the concept of our personal liberation seems to be like the dangling carrot in front of the horse.
We worry about our relationships, our financial security, our living situation, and our looks, often comparing ourselves to others and feeling less than worthy of loving what we have.
It's when we let go of what no longer serves our highest good that we make room for freedom. When we release anger and hurt from the past, we create space for self-love and self-compassion to expand. When we let go of worry and anxiety about the future, we can appreciate the beauty of how our life is right now.
