In my meditation, I saw an image of a person trying to go in lots of different directions at the same time. Then, I heard the word, 'Consolidate'. I understand this message to mean that when our energy is scattered and fragmented, it makes it hard for us to focus on what's really important to us.

Here's a favorite quote by Iain Thomas. "And every day, the world will drag you by the hand, yelling: 'This is important! And this is important! And this is important! You need to worry about this! And this! And this!' And each day, it's up to you to yank your hand back, put it on your heart, and say: 'No, this is what's important.'

Distractions are all around us, vying for our attention, whether it's politics on TV or on social media or newscasts about horrific events trying to keep us in a state of fear. The world wants us to pay attention to all of its needs. And while it's okay to be aware of what's going on, we can't save the world by giving our attention and energy to every single matter that's going on.

We need to consolidate our energy and decide for ourselves what we are going to focus on. We can't let distractions decide for us what will get our attention. Otherwise, we can find ourselves un-centered, fragmented, and unsure of what is really important for us.

If we take some quiet time to go within and really feel into our heart, we will know what has top priority in our life. We can tell what it is when we feel passionate about something. What is it that makes our eyes light up when we think about it? Once we focus on what is truly important to us, all other things fall into place.
