Chant


In my meditation, I saw a group of people at a Kirtan, and I heard the word, 'Chant'. I understand this message to mean that participating in a group spiritual chant, or Kirtan, has a lot of benefits.


For me, chanting mantras in Sanskrit, the ancient language of the Hindu scriptures, raises my vibration. I feel more connected to my Divinity, Source, the Universe, or whatever you want to call the Higher Power.


Chanting is a form of meditation. In Kirtan, I can let go of my worries and sorrows and just focus on what is going on right around me and inside of me. Singing the spiritual songs takes me out of my monkey mind and brings me into the present moment.


Sharing the experience of voicing the sacred sounds of Sanskrit with others creates a sense of community and belonging. It's wonderful to be with like-minded people, who enjoy creating a high vibe. I feel a sense of joy when I am in Kirtan.


I feel truly blessed that we are now able offer our new studio to hold Kirtan every Wednesday evening. This is something we have wanted to do for a long time, and our dream has come true!
